Today
We Welcome Multiple-Award-Winning Producer/Director
Philippe Mora
Philippe Mora
is an internationally-known, multiple-award-winning producer and
director. He has produced dozens of feature films, including "Communion"
with Christopher Walken. And, yes, there will be a "Communion
II. "In fact, Philippe is currently
seeking talent for four upcoming feature films! In
addition to being busy with his numerous feature film projects,
he is in demand internationally as an entertainment industry
expert/icon and professional speaker. It is quite rare when Mr.
Mora is able to speak at our events. On Saturday, July
28, 2007, however, we are very pleased to be able to
announce that Philippe Mora will be our special guest
on our weekly ninety-minute TeleSeminar call. This is
an
extraordinary opportunity to meet Mr. Mora ... from the comfort
of your living room.
If you let us know ahead of time that you will be joining us for
the call, we will put your photo and resume on the Show Notes
page (the page to which Mr. Mora will be referring). We suggest
that you research this man. The more you discover, the more
impressed you will be ... and the more you will appreciate this
opportunity! Then, during the question and answer portion of
the call, ask a good question based on your research. Mr. Mora
will see your photo and resume on line when he answers your
question. After the call is complete, you might want to send
him a thank-you card with your photo business card enclosed. If
you would like to potentially work in a Philippe Mora film, this
could be a good way to initially open the door.
We hope to have Mr. Mora as
an in-person guest at a future Sunday seminar event in the Los
Angeles area. If we can, we will get a commitment for a future
in-person appearance from him during the course of the
TeleSeminar call. Once he commits to a specific date, we
suggest to all of our readers, no matter where they live, that
they make plans to attend that event.
"If an actor were
really serious about his or her career, that actor would fly in
from anywhere in the world for an opportunity to meet Philippe
Mora!"
|

Special note:
Gary J. Levinson,
CEO of Hollywood International
Pictures has
confirmed that he will be our
special guest speaker for the August 25 Tele-Seminar Call and
our In-Person guest speaker for the actual seminar in Studio
City the next day, August 26. Mark your calendars.
This is an opportunity that rarely presents itself. Gary
is a very busy producer/director and is seldom available to
speak at our events. |
| PLEASE NOTE:
There are a number of people on the call today
who did not register ahead of time. Those who register by
midnight the night before a can have their photo,
resume, website link, and even a mini-bio on the show notes page
(where producers are directed) if they so desire. IF YOU
DID NOT PRE-REGISTER FOR TODAY'S CALL, please be sure to do so
for next Saturday's call. Again, 3:00 PM Pacific US Time.
As this call becomes more and more popular, we may change the
access codes, even on a weekly basis. Also, only those who
pre-register for future calls will be eligible to win prizes
that we give away during the calls. So, please register
for each call. Thank you! |
| PLEASE
let your actor friends know about these calls.
We provide them as a free service. Be sure that your
friends register for each call.
rock@HollywoodSuccess.com
They should put "Seminar Call" in the subject area.
In the body of the letter, they need to put their name, the city
from which they will be calling, and the phrase, "Referred by
(your name here)." They can either attach their photo and
resume or include a link to it. The person who has the
most referrals on each call will get a nice prize. The
person who has the most referrals for each month receives a very
nice prize. And everybody who gets a minimum of five
referrals on any call gets a gift as well. |
| SHOW NOTES:
Although some show notes will be added here
during the call, most will be added afterward. A link to a
recording of the call will also be added. |

Professional
Actor/Producer/Author/Casting Director
"Alien
Actor" Bill Blair was a special guest on the call
and at the live seminar event two weeks ago. He wrote the book on
professionalism for actors -- literally -- entitled, "The
Professional's Talent Handbook." He has agreed to
come back for more calls and seminars! He is confirmed for
the July 29
In-Person Seminar Event. What a fascinating
speaker! |
We
will have producer
Eugene Mandelcorn as a featured speaker on future calls --
possibly as early as next Saturday. We'll let you know soon. Check
him out at

Congratulations are in order for our friend and APS member Janét
Vincent Lee, an amazingly talented lady, who landed a fairly
large role in a feature film with ... oh, no; we can't say the
name of this number one box-office star until it is officially
announced in the trades. Hmmm. I suppose we can only
say that the feature is shooting in France (her role, at least,
with this person we can't name who makes France his home now)
and that the star has a connection to a certain attraction at
Disneyland and has broken a couple of box office records.
Hopefully, we can break the
suspense soon and let you know this actor's name. Maybe
Janét will tell us on today's call ... |
Upcoming confirmed
speakers:
Donald F. Glut: Late August
(Exact Dates
TBA)
Jim Goddard: August
(Exact Dates TBA)
David Heavener: TBA,
but within the next 6-8 weeks
Trena Marie Hill:
July 28, 29
and future dates.
Bill Hooey:
July 29,
Aug. 4, Aug. 5 and future dates
Melody Jensen: Aug. 4 & 5
Gary Levinson: Aug. 25 & 26
Philippe Mora: July 28

SHOW NOTES |
|
July 28, 2007 TeleSeminar Call:
What an amazing call! We took advantage of the rare
opportunity to talk with producer Philippe Mora for over an
hour. Mr. Mora discussed his past, present, and future
film projects. He talked about why he has been in the
headlines recently. He shared inside information with a
couple of famous stars he directed. And, he gave his
e-mail address so that all who joined the call and all who
listen to the recording can contact him (click on the i-pod
player logo at the top of this page to hear it). We're not
going to put it here in the show notes, because we want you to
listen to the call before you e-mail him.
Mr. Mora
agreed to speak at an in-person seminar event in Studio City.
His schedule is pretty full, but we do have a commitment.
He will give us at least several day's notice, and he will be
joining us in the "near future" for the seminar event.
Congratulations go to Virginia Montero for being the first live
listener to e-mail the call's five-word answer. Virginia
won a $100.00 APS gift certificate. Because Virginia is an
APS member, her membership dues just went down by a hundred
dollars! We intend to give away a $100.00 gift certificate
each week. Be sure to join us at least a couple of minutes
early on the next Saturday afternoon call! |

Cortelious |
In
addition to being an extraordinary actor, Cortelious is one of the most
fascinating people I have ever met. He has "beyond top secret"
status in his "other job." Knowledge he will never share makes him
even more interesting. I believe he has answers to many of my most
intriguing questions. "Gee, Rock," he will occasionally say, "I
don't know. Of course, if I did know, I couldn't tell you.
And, if I did tell you, I'd have to kill you." The slight smile on
his face tells me there's an underlying truth to his statements.
For certain types of movies, he could be an extraordinary technical
advisor --- without giving away any sensitive information. :-)

Michael
Gavino |
As a boy in Maryland, Michael Gavino used to walk through
the woods dreaming of all sorts of fanciful stories. He would often
dream of being different characters in those stories. Little did he know
that dreaming would lead to a lifetime of acting. After leaving
Maryland, Michael attended Florida Atlantic University where he excelled
at academics and played for FAU's NCAA intercollegiate baseball team.
After earning his Bachelor and Master's of Arts from FAU, Michael
pursued his artistic dream. He continued his studies by attending The
New York Film Academy and studying under several prestigious private
teachers. He also started to act. As an actor, Michael has been in over
30 films and played the lead in 16. Among the films he has starred in
are: Detour to Hell, Reaping the Girl, The Devil and the Girl, Etiquette
of Dating, The Unknown Hero, Yes You Do, Upside Down Dan, Murder by the
Book, Night of the Escorts, I Wish I was a Fish, Vietnam Worm, Mary's
Secret, Tutorial 666, Urban Shootout, Caught Stealin’, and The
Encounter. Michael is happy for all he has achieved and has a simple
formula for success -- acting + hard work = happiness.
Michael is a successful
business man who has created several successful businesses. His
success is assured in the film and television industry as well, because
he is approaching the acting business as a business. He will also
be on the production side of the industry in the near future, producing
his own feature films ...¨ |

Allan has been acting since the age of 5 (Santa Claus—the

such as Scrooge, Matthew Harrison Brady (Inherit the Wind), Gordon
Miller (Room Service), Juror #3 (Twelve Angry Men) and Gaby (On the
Town). Recent years have included roles in indy shorts and features,
many training and documentary films, lead doctor in an episode of
"Untold Tales of the ER" (Dr. Lang in "The Gypsy King") and prominent
(and fun) background in "Friends With Money." (Watch him several times—he’s
the classy mature guy in the tux--between Jennifer Anniston and friend.)
By the way, Allan is also a licensed Performance Anxiety/ Stress

I
plan to get a lot of information from this teleconference before I
come down to the LA area. I would like to attend one of the events
in person in the very near future or see any of the producers and
casting directors on an appointment basis. I can fly weekly from
Seattle with very little expense, so it would be easy to arrange a
time to meet with all of you (if possible) as I intend to become an
actor full time. Thank
you for allowing me this opportunity to participate in the
conference.
