We're
honored to have producer Melody Jensen joining us today
as a special guest speaker. She is a Fortune 500 and
Hollywood image designer. She is a successful
businesswoman who runs several businesses in addition to her
"Champs for Children" charity. You can discover some of
Melody's "secrets" at
www.MelodysSecret.com.
Also, please mark your calendars: Melody will be joining
us IN PERSON at 2:00 PM on August 5, 2007 at our producer/actor
seminar event: 12215 Ventura Blvd., #111, Studio City, CA
91604. |
We're
delighted to have the amazing Shelley Sykes joining us on
the call today. Take a look at her mini-bio on this page.
Clicking on her photo will take you to her website.
Shelley will also be joining us IN PERSON for Sunday's seminar
event (July 8), beginning at 2:00 PM: The Jeremiah Comey
Studios, 12215 Ventura Blvd., #111, Studio City, CA 91604.
As you can see by her e-mail to me last week, Shelley flew in
from Sydney, Australia to attend Sunday's event. If she
can make the trip, maybe you can, too. Please join us
Sunday ... and be sure to say hello to Shelley. Her e-mail
follows:
Dear Rock,
It is with excitement that I write to let you know that I
will be flying out from Sydney, Australia to attend your
Sunday event next week to meet both you and Bill Hooey. I
arrive in LA on Thursday 7th and hope to arrange a few
meetings with Agents and producers before your live weekend
event.
After reading your book Hollywood Success and getting to
‘know’ more about the circles of people you attract, I am
sure I will learn so much as well as getting to meet you in
person, which has been a goal. I am making contact with
Michelle to see if she is available too.
Please put me down for a place at your event and I will
happily pay on line or at the door.
Looking forward to finally meeting you Rock and Bill.
Yours happily,
Shelley Sykes

Professional
Actor/Producer/Author/Casting Director
"Alien
Actor" Bill Blair will be joining us next Saturday (July
14) as a special guest on the call. He wrote the book on
professionalism for actors -- literally -- entitled, "The
Professional's Talent Handbook." |
Producer
Eugene Mandelcorn will be joining us briefly on the call today.
We will have him as a featured speaker on future calls --
possibly as early as next Saturday. We'll let you know soon. |
Congratulations are in order for our friend and APS member Janét
Vincent Lee, an amazingly talented lady, who landed a fairly
large role in a feature film with ... oh, no; we can't say the
name of this number one box-office star until it is officially
announced in the trades. Hmmm. I suppose we can only
say that the feature is shooting in France (her role, at least,
with this person we can't name who makes France his home now)
and that the star has a connection to a certain attraction at
Disneyland and has broken a couple of box office records.
Hopefully, we can break the
suspense soon and let you know this actor's name. Maybe
Janét will tell us on today's call ... |

| WHAT AN
EXTRAORDINARY CALL! Today's call took an
unexpected direction of it's own. It certainly turned out
to be much better than I had imagined it would be. E-mail
response to the call was wonderful. The first e-mail
pretty much summed up the sentiment of the callers: "Brilliant
call, Rock. I can't say enough how wonderful it was to have so
many wonderful people onboard!" -- Sherwin Buydens |
| And, now
for the actual SHOW NOTES: |
| Rock
welcomed everyone to the call. He muted the callers so
everyone could hear with not external noise. Rock
suggested that everyone download the 13-page booklet and take a
look at his mini-bio on the front page. For those who did
not have the booklet available, Rock read his bio:
Most
information in the film/TV business is mis-information.
99.9 percent of the people who call themselves actors are
failing. They are telling other people what they are doing
in order to fail. "I'm failing. Why don't you do the
same things I do. All of the failures are doing it."
Most advice
is based on theory and ignorance.
The purpose
of the agent was discussed. Rock was a successful agent
and agency co-owner. He sold his half when it was no
longer fun. The agents job is to negotiate money and
billing for you once you get hired.
These are
the most powerful 2-letter words in the English language:
"If it is to be, it is up to me!"
You, the
actor, should do your job, which is getting work. Then I,
as the agent, can do my job of negotiating money and billing.
Rock's forte' as an agent was negotiation.
We are
sharing inside information with you on this call. If you
have a passion to succeed in this industry, and you do not have
the answers, you will find yourself amongst the dozens and
dozens of actors who give up every day. Potential
SuperStars are giving up everyday. They don't have the
road map to success and they are in the center of masses of lost
people. We are here to give you the road map.
There are
dozens of actors on TV series whose talent could best be
described as mediocre. Is this industry based on talent?
Absolutely not.
You've all
seen bad actors and said, "I could have done 100 times better
than that person," and you're right. So, why did that
person get the role and not you?
Eugene
Mandelcorn was introduced. He is President of F.A.N., an
international organization of credited feature film producers.
APS actors are invited to their monthly meetings, and they do
hire our actors.
Eugene has
shot two episodes of "Real Deal" starring an APS member!
Yea. He mentioned several of his upcoming film and
television projects.
Shelley
Sykes will be joining us in person tomorrow. She flew in
from Sydney to join us tomorrow.
Rock
introduced Melody Jensen and mentioned her upcoming productions.
Melody is scheduled to speak at our August 5th seminar.
And, she is changing her plans in order to attend tomorrow's
Studio City Event as well.
Melody is
executive producing several upcoming features as well.
Melody:
"The harder we work, the luckier we get." What we think,
we become. She suggested we see the movie "The Secret."
Happiness was discussed. We all create our day.
Motion Picture Council of Southern California was mentioned.
Success begins with discovering you and what you really want.
Integrity is very important. Good, honest, hard-working
people are in demand. You will definitely stand out in
this industry if you have integrity.
People do
want to do business with people who are honest, who do what they
say, and who are honest.
Melody has
groomed national and international winners. 35+ years in
the image business. She spoke of her upcoming feature
film. She mentioned her charity, Champions for Children.
Melody's
events were discussed. Her last red carpet event in
Newport Beach drew over 200 people. Quite a number of the
attendees said Melody's event was better, more productive, and
more fun that the Oscar parties they had attended.
Melody
invited all on the call to come to her next events.
www.MelodysSecret.com
is her site. The
information is there. Those who are viewing these notes
are invited. No charge. It's a gift from Melody
Jensen. A lot of heavy-duty VIP industry people attended
the last event.
Melody
invited everyone to take the $35.00 personality profile ... for
free. That information is above next to her photo.
Concentrate
on your strengths. Feel and look your best so you can act
your best. You never get a second chance to make a first
impression. The personality profile was discussed.
Rock
introduced Shelley Sykes.
Shelley
Sykes complimented Melody. "I commend Melody on everything
she said." We need to believe that we are before we
become. One must be happy and healthy inside before we can
experience major success.
"Rock,
you're doing a brilliant job." "Everybody, this is Global
Happiness Day."
Rock: The
Elvis Chapel in Vegas booked marriages every 15 minutes from
10:01 AM this morning until midnight tonight.
Stephen
Spielberg approached Shelley to produce her book, "Callum's
Cure," as a feature film. They like the idea. They
like the treatment. The attorneys are not working out the
details. "I will keep you, Rock, informed, as it goes
through all the stages. There will be a lot of acting jobs
in it, because there are a lot of characters in it." This
will be a great opportunity for actors.
Shelley
spoke on stage for Tony Robbins, many more. Having
integrity is important. Anything is possible in this
business. Shelley is about to put $1.5 million together to
sponsor a TV show called "Happy Hour."
Melody
Jensen broke it. "I'm going to reschedule everything and
meet you at Rock's seminar event tomorrow."
Shelley has
been asked to do the Ophra show, and discussed that upcoming
show.
Rock
discussed a miracle. You'll have to listen to the
recording to know what it was.
Shelley's
son was born blind and unable to walk. Doctors said he
would never walk and never see. He now sees and walks.
The Spielberg movie will be based on his and Shelley's story.
Shelley's
reasons to be sad if she chose to do so. Successful people
choose to focus only on what's going right in their lives.
Donald Trump's $900 million loss was discussed.
Melody
mentioned her daughter and their upcoming true life feature
film. Melody's daughter was molested. The
perpetrator killed himself a week later. Jackie's story
(Melody's daughter) was discussed.
We've all
had issues. It's how we deal with them. She shared a
story about a homeless man in Sydney, Australia.
Enjoy the
moment of being you. "How we see ourselves." The
gift of a limousine story ... Walt Disney was discussed.
274 investors turned Disney down before he got his money ...
Bill Hooey
was introduced. He will be appearing in person in Studio
City.
Melody
Jensen will bring a "B-Happy" spray for everyone who attends
tomorrow's seminar. That's a $25.00 gift for each person
who joins us tomorrow.
There is no
such thing as coincidence. Bill Hooey discussed his column
and a TV show and shared some of his unique humor with us.
'60s humor.
Rock
unmuted everyone on the call. Any questions? Trena
Marie Hill mentioned the energy on the call. Everyone
seemed to really enjoy the phone call.
Melody
talked about the "coincidence" that she is in touch with us
after a very busy past six months.
FUN -- we
must have fun.
Rock
mentioned HollywoodSuccess.com, the Show Notes page, and thanked
those whom he knew were on the call.
Shelley
Sykes: "I am here in Sunny California L.A. because of the
book Rock wrote." Anthony Robbins spoke of APS and
Rock Riddle on stage.
Any final
burning words of wisdom?
Daniel
Wallace thanked all of us. He worked with Tad Atkinson and
said "Tad is brilliant."
Over 14,000
actors knew about this seminar. Yet, our call is not full.
There is no competition, The only competition you have is
sitting in your seat. This is amazing, free publicity.
Please help spread the word about this call.
Melody
Jensen is working on a multiple nine-figure deal to produce 14+
feature films. She invited all on the call to feel free
call her directly.
How did we
fit so much into one hour and thirty-three minutes? What a
great call! |

Cortelious |
In
addition to being an extraordinary actor, Cortelious is one of the most
fascinating people I have ever met. He has "beyond top secret"
status in his "other job." Knowledge he will never share makes him
even more interesting. I believe he has answers to many of my most
intriguing questions. "Gee, Rock," he will occasionally say, "I
don't know. Of course, if I did know, I couldn't tell you.
And, if I did tell you, I'd have to kill you." The slight smile on
his face tells me there's an underlying truth to his statements.
For certain types of movies, he could be an extraordinary technical
advisor --- without giving away any sensitive information. :-) |

Michael
Gavino |
As a boy in Maryland, Michael Gavino used to walk through
the woods dreaming of all sorts of fanciful stories. He would often
dream of being different characters in those stories. Little did he know
that dreaming would lead to a lifetime of acting. After leaving
Maryland, Michael attended Florida Atlantic University where he excelled
at academics and played for FAU's NCAA intercollegiate baseball team.
After earning his Bachelor and Master's of Arts from FAU, Michael
pursued his artistic dream. He continued his studies by attending The
New York Film Academy and studying under several prestigious private
teachers. He also started to act. As an actor, Michael has been in over
30 films and played the lead in 16. Among the films he has starred in
are: Detour to Hell, Reaping the Girl, The Devil and the Girl, Etiquette
of Dating, The Unknown Hero, Yes You Do, Upside Down Dan, Murder by the
Book, Night of the Escorts, I Wish I was a Fish, Vietnam Worm, Mary's
Secret, Tutorial 666, Urban Shootout, Caught Stealin’, and The
Encounter. Michael is happy for all he has achieved and has a simple
formula for success -- acting + hard work = happiness.
Michael is a successful
business man who has created several successful businesses. His
success is assured in the film and television industry as well, because
he is approaching the acting business as a business. He will also
be on the production side of the industry in the near future, producing
his own feature films ... |
