SHOW NOTES

November 10, 2007 TeleSeminar Call

We're preparing ... We'll build the show notes once the actual call begins ... stand by ...

On this call, we will disable the annoying bell tones that announce each caller's entry.  We will, therefore, not know when you join the call unless you announce yourself.  Our intention for today's call is also to keep 2-way communication open between all of the callers for as long as we can.  If background noise gets to be a challenge, we will mute the callers.  That means you will still be able to hear us, but nobody will be able to hear you.  When we ask for questions from the callers, we will either un-mute everybody or we will tell you how to un-mute yourself.  Pressing "*6" on your phone will usually allow you to mute or un-mute yourself when we have that option turned on (and it's usually turned on).

In addition to talking with the producers and allowing the callers to interact and ask questions of them, our intention today is to give our callers (and listeners) insight and "inside information" on networking, marketing, and promotion.  We will make reference to the 13-page booklet pictured here.  Click on the booklet to view it on your monitor or to print it.  We suggest you print a hard copy of the booklet and add your own notes to it as we discuss topics of interest during the next several TeleSeminars.

PLEASE ATTEND TOMORROW'S SPECIAL
SEMINAR AND NETWORKING EVENT IN PERSON

And Let Your Actor Friends Know!

Our special guest on today's TeleSeminar Call is Jim Goddard:   A multiple-award-winning producer, director, and writer, Jim is also CEO of Celtic FilmWorks.  If we were to list all of the projects in which he has been involved -- from producer/director/writer to actor and everything in-between -- we would be listing approximately six hundred projects!

Producer/director/writer and CEO of Celtic FilmWorks, James Goddard is seeking actors to do a staged reading of his screenplay entitled "December the 24th."  He needs actors for the following roles:

two main characters, 95 percent of dialogue:
male - late 30's to late 40's
California native, magazine writer, wilderness, travel stories. Divorced, three young kids. Romantic. Full of nothing but hope.

female - late 30's to late 40's
Australian. Trained lawyer, trained actress, musician, however has escaped AU to the US, set up dress making shop. No longer believes in any concept of love. Rather jaded.

Time, Christmas Eve, today.
Place, Anaheim.
Majority of this story takes place at the woman's condo. Time length of story is about 12 hours.

This is a study in relationships, in the bonding of friendship that is possible between a man and a woman.

male - 40's-50's, bartender. About 8 minutes of screen time.
male - 50's. About 1 minute of screen time.
Bohemian, gypsy kinda look.
three kids, two girls, one boy (5-10)
One female voice
One male voice

Jim has hired actors he has met at APS-produced seminar events and will certainly hire more for his future film projects.  He has also hired actors for other producers' projects (as co-producer, etc.)  If you would like to be considered for the reading (and hopefully for the resulting feature film), please join us on the call and e-mail JimGoddard@HollywoodSuccess.com with "JIM GODDARD READING" (yes, in uppercase, please, to make sure we don't miss it) in the subject line.

Jim wants to hear his work "acted out," possibly make a few minor changes, and then have a staged reading for his producer and investor friends.  This might be a nice opportunity to perform in front of several film producers who have the power to hire...

Here at the APS Entertainment/HollywoodSuccess offices, we have read the screenplay
...and it is extraordinary!

Today we did a fairly in-depth interview with producer/director/writer Jim Goddard.  We'll talked about his current projects, his upcoming projects, and other people's projects in which he will be involved.  We'll also talked a lot about networking.  We shared some information about several networking events that are PURE GOLD.  We talked about tomorrow's APS-produced and sponsored event.  We talked about wonderful free networking opportunities that take place Monday night, Tuesday Night, and Wednesday night...  And, of course, we'll gave away a $100 gift certificate.  This was a great call!  Enjoy...

Cortelious

In addition to being an extraordinary actor, Cortelious is one of the most fascinating people I have ever met.  He has "beyond top secret" status in his "other job."  Knowledge he will never share makes him even more interesting.  I believe he has answers to many of my most intriguing questions.  "Gee, Rock," he will occasionally say, "I don't know.  Of course, if I did know, I couldn't tell you.  And, if I did tell you, I'd have to kill you."  The slight smile on his face tells me there's an underlying truth to his statements.  For certain types of movies, he could be an extraordinary technical advisor --- without giving away any sensitive information. :-)

Michael
Gavino

As a boy in Maryland, Michael Gavino used to walk through the woods dreaming of all sorts of fanciful stories. He would often dream of being different characters in those stories. Little did he know that dreaming would lead to a lifetime of acting. After leaving Maryland, Michael attended Florida Atlantic University where he excelled at academics and played for FAU's NCAA intercollegiate baseball team. After earning his Bachelor and Master's of Arts from FAU, Michael pursued his artistic dream. He continued his studies by attending The New York Film Academy and studying under several prestigious private teachers. He also started to act. As an actor, Michael has been in over 30 films and played the lead in 16. Among the films he has starred in are: Detour to Hell, Reaping the Girl, The Devil and the Girl, Etiquette of Dating, The Unknown Hero, Yes You Do, Upside Down Dan, Murder by the Book, Night of the Escorts, I Wish I was a Fish, Vietnam Worm, Mary's Secret, Tutorial 666, Urban Shootout, Caught Stealin’, and The Encounter. Michael is happy for all he has achieved and has a simple formula for success -- acting + hard work = happiness. Michael is a successful business man who has created several successful businesses.  His success is assured in the film and television industry as well, because he is approaching the acting business as a business.  He will also be on the production side of the industry in the near future, producing his own feature films ...
