Jim Goddard

Jim Goddard began his professional career in 1973 as a producer with the Disneyland Drama Company. Soon after, he co-founded a national Christian theatrical touring company, CREATION, as producer, director, and staff writer. CREATION also produced several children's productions for national and international cable.

He has produced several independent productions, such as the docu-drama "The Eagle & the Turtle", and as Line Producer for a network pilot "Livin' Legends". He has stage managed international events as "The 1993 Super Bowl Half-time Show", "The 1994 World Cup Soccer Ceremonies" and "Encore! The Three Tenors".

Professionally in entertainment for twenty-four years, his involvement in entertainment (in all manner of shape and form) has numbered close to five hundred separate productions.

Jim has developed and written motion picture screenplays, including the historical, period romance "Jack & Charmian London"; a period Biblical tale "Legion"; a contemporary Hitchcockian murder mystery "Final Fade Out"; a contemporary drama/romance about an actress/singer in search of joy "Wait in Silence"; historical story of the origins of Baseball and the Negro Leagues and when they played it for fun "American Giants"; futuristic allegory on the war between good and evil "Son of the Morning"; a contemporary adventure/comedy about four sisters who inherit hidden gold "Sleeping Maidens".

As writer he has researched and written docu-dramas about the underground church in Russia ("Russia's Secret Church"), a tale of the Thlin'git Indians in Alaska ("Banishment"), has written industrials for the California Departments of Conservation and Education; as well as regional commercials throughout California. He has also written for television, such as a co-written pilot produced for a children's series ("The Yellow Kite").

Stageplay adaptations of his works performed, are; "Jack & Charmian London", "Final Fade Out", "Garden", and a co-adaptation of "Everyman". He is a member of the National Thespian Society, National Forensics League, recipient of the Disneyland Community Service Award and Walter Knott America’s Award.

Currently he freelances as a scriptwriter and volunteers time scripting specific scenes for actors for live showcase performances in Hollywood, California. (An additional hobby of his is writing short stories based on the lives/adventures of his three children.)
